MY STORY
From overwhelm to sovereignty: Learning to lead my life from
inner authority, and help others do the same.

Please allow me start my story with another story.
"A mother walks with her son many miles to see Gandhi.
She is worried her son is eating too much sugar. She asks Gandhi: “Please, sir, can you tell my son to stop eating sugar.” Gandhi says, “Bring him back in two weeks.” Disappointed, she takes her son home.
Two weeks later she makes the long journey again. Gandhi says to the boy, "You must stop eating sugar. It's very bad for you." The boy has such respect for Gandhi that he stops and lives a healthy life.
The mother is confused and asks, "Why did you want me to wait two weeks to bring back my son?"
Gandhi said, "Because before I could tell your son to stop eating sugar, I had to stop eating sugar first."
I have always had a desire in my heart to help and uplift others, but it was only as of 7 years ago that I had a big shift in my healing journey. Thankfully after lots of yoga, prayer, learning, changing habits, work, and healing I have "stopped eating sugar" so to say. I am able to hold and support others through their healing journeys now and share what I have learned. I can help you with the integrity that I have first done the work.

Depression has been a struggle for most of my life, and got worse after I was married and had kids. Adding the layer of post-partum depression I nearly took my own life on multiple occasions. During my fourth pregnancy anxiety crept in as well, and I wasn't sure how to cope anymore. Perfectionism & Scrupulosity were a constant issue, although I didn't understand them at the time. And I knew I looked happy and put together on the outside, but inside my spirit was dying.
There were even times when hearing the joy and laughter in my children's voices as they played was so agonizing I couldn't stand it, because I was in such turmoil. Anger was a constant as well as the grief, but I wanted to be a good Mom, and create happy memories, and help everyone around me, but I couldn't help myself in my overwhelm. Or so I thought.
God led me to Kundalini Yoga, and after a few months I knew I wanted to go to Teacher Training, even though I had no plans to teach anyone. I just knew I needed more of whatever this was. I could feel the shift each time I went to class, and see the positive effects for days afterward. I was happier, more relieved, grounded, and had more peace. That helped me be a better mother, and I knew I needed more. In the midst of it all I finally had the courage, energy, and clarity to start my entrepreneurial efforts as well. A huge step for me and my confidence!

Teacher Training was one of the hardest and best things I've ever done in my life. I was fortunate enough to go to a training facilitated by Nam Joti Kaur (Felice Austin) of Tree of Life Kundalini Yoga. Our Lead Trainer was Siri Marka Singh Khalsa from Santa Monica, CA, and we learned Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
There I met the community I had waited for my whole life, and I still went back for several years as a group leader to help others that were in their own Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training and growing there.
In training I decided that I would teach, because:
“If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it.”
-Yogi Bhajan
Also, because I felt I couldn't hide these tools that had given me my life back. It's no small thing to say that I went from a dark, suicidal place to finding my purpose! Having joy, peace, clarity, and even healing from depression and anxiety. How could I not share it?

I attended many other trainings that have given me tools, and lead me to other tools as well that have facilitated more growth and healing, such as 3 Key Elements, Numerology, and more. I've also been a student of Psychology and philosophy my whole life! It is something I constantly think and learn about. I have also found patterns of truth that really work to help others in their healing and growth process.
After all I have learned and experienced, my belief is that the root causes of most of our mental health problems, and lack of growth, are a disconnect from our soul, and we need to remember that we are perfect as we are, and can still grow into who we want to be.
Issues in the body, mind, spirit connection is where we see the scientific evidence of this disconnection physically. It shows up on brain scans and hormone levels.
BUT I know that healing is possible! We are powerful!
YOU are powerful!

I do acknowledge God/Godde as the guiding hand in my journey, and I respect all faiths. Personally I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and now I identify as an Omnist. Someone who sees truth in all faiths, but none that contain the entire fullness of truth. I love to explore all religions in search of the vibration of truth. I have found many things in scriptures of other religions as well that have only grown my own faith in my God parents and the source of ALL love.
Now I can finally say that I am thriving and happy! I have not suffered from depression or anxiety for over 6 years. Principles and tools that I have learned through ancient yogic teachings, as well as other truths (and some that are still growing in me today), I am now using now to help others. My great desire is to see everyone actually know who they really are, live in happiness, peace, love and acceptance. Also to grow and thrive in their situations, and then turn and help others by shining their radiance and lifting as they go along.
I would love to help you with your journey!
